Appreciate your body . . .

“Don’t you know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit,
who lives in you and was given to you by God?”
1 Corinthians 6:19

Do you know what I call your body? A temple. It’s like a church, a place that houses My spirit. You are often critical about what you see in the mirror, but I didn’t make a mistake when I made you. I created you exactly the way you are and I am so proud of you. To Me, you are beautiful and perfect! That’s why I want you to take care of yourself, My house. Eat healthy, be active, stay sexually pure, and avoid destructive behaviors like doing drugs and alcohol. Remember, whatever you do to your body, you do to Me.

Now What? Pray: “Father, help me remember the importance of taking care of myself, to rest, to fuel my body with healthy foods, and make wise choices. Today, replace my self-critical attitude with appreciation, and my dissatisfaction with gratitude. To start, one thing I really like about myself is: ____ (name it) ____. Lord, thank you for making me so wonderfully amazing.”
