Control your actions . . .

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience,
kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control…”
Galatians 5:22-23

Never assume that since you are My Follower, your life will be perfect. I cannot promise you a smooth ride, only that I will be with you for the journey. The world is full of evil and darkness. Your goal as My child is to demonstrate the fruits of My Spirit (above) in your life. Some of these characteristics may be hard for you, so talk to Me about which ones really stump you, and I will teach you to conquer them.

Now What? Pray: “Thank you, Jesus, for giving me clear goals for living through your Word! As I look at this list of nine spiritual fruits, proof that your Spirit is in me, I immediately know that I struggle with: _____ (name fruit(s) of the Spirit) _____. Today, help me substitute my natural selfish tendencies for your personality. Keep me from becoming frustrated with my growth as a Christian, and fill me with encouragement as I achieve small victories.”
