Do your best . . .

“Work hard and cheerfully at whatever you do,
as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people.”
Colossians 3:23

Many things are on your agenda for this week. It’s easy to put off things like school work and chores and concentrate on the easy, fun stuff. Sometimes you don’t give your best effort because you don’t think it matters, or you don’t like the task. Transform your view of work! Complete your tough assignments as though I have personally assigned them to you, not a teacher or parent. I want you to do your best for Me, for My approval, not just theirs. You will feel awesome about yourself, and your excellence will be rewarded with success.

Now What? Pray: “Lord, search my heart and see that my true goal is to please you in everything I do and say. Forgive me for complaining about my school and home assignments, for you have placed these leaders in my path to teach and guide me. Help me see every task, even those I consider boring or mundane, as an opportunity to show my love for you.”
