Don’t be afraid . . .

“In God, whose word I praise, In God I have put my trust; I shall not be afraid. What can mere man do to me?” – Psalms 56:4

Healthy fear alerts you to leave a dark alley or say “no” to an offer to do drugs, but an unhealthy fear can paralyze you into indecision. I have promised to watch over you whenever you call on Me. Know that I am beside you, even this very minute, and stop dwelling on a scenario that may not ever happen! The harsh words and actions of another person cannot harm you as long as you remember that I love and adore you.

Now What? Pray: “Lord, teach me to look to you whenever I feel afraid. Regardless of the situation, I know you can give me the courage to face my fear and follow through. Help me remember that this frightening time will pass, and tomorrow I can rejoice in knowing that I persevered with your help.”
