You are made perfectly . . .

“I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” Psalms 139:14

“My nose is too big!” “I hate how short I am.” “I wish I were skinny.” I hear complaints all the time from teens like you who are unhappy with the way they look. But I made you perfectly. I formed you to be uniquely YOU, not some other kid. To Me, you are all like a field of wildflowers that are designed to be colored and shaped differently. Don’t be fooled by the retouched photographs in magazines that don’t represent reality. Be grateful for the differences that make you beautiful in My sight.

Now What? Pray: “Lord, it’s so hard not to compare my appearance to others around me. Sometimes I think I could improve upon your design of me, and I find myself wishing I were different. Better. Oh Lord, forgive me for criticizing your work! You created my physical makeup, personality, and abilities according to a perfect plan. Help me diligently seek your will as you reveal that plan to me.”
